it’s not you, it’s me

Well never underestimate the power of a 3 year old. Finn is known to take my iphone and play games, look up things on the internet (I know, don’t ask me how) and play previews of movies and songs. Then there was the time he took pictures of himself and posted them on a lovely lady’s facebook page. Somehow and again I don’t know how he added a few apps to my phone and by using the wifi has used up my home internet access for the month. So trying to do anything on the laptop takes me forever. F-o-r-e-v-e-r.
I’ve upgraded my internet package today but of course that takes time so I hope to be back to normal blogging, facebooking, tweeting in no time. Just opening up flickr took over 10 minutes and still didn’t open for me.  So I’ll be a little quiet and it’s not you, it’s me!

  1. you made me laugh. I have a little girl (almost 3) who can move her little fingers around my ipad like nothing i have ever seen. i am amazed at how quickly they can pick up the navigation. it has to make you smile though. enjoy your day corrie.

  2. Under settings you can disable ‘in app’ purchases or something like that. Has stopped my almost 2.5 year old surfing constantly!

Oh and you can also change your settings so they can’t delete apps too!

    Good luck

  3. haha. Sounds like something my kids would do.

    Clever little cookie he is!

  4. Oh how frustrating Corrie… and a little cute, they are SO clever aren’t they? No worries, we’ll be patient and look forward to when you’re fully functioning again. The joys of technology! xo

  5. It is amazing how they learn so quickly, although I do love it when my 12 month old grandson would steal away with his mommy’s phone and give grandma a call!!

  6. I completely understand where you’re coming from Corrie! I wish I could net nanny my iphone a little better so my little chap couldn’t get into the app store quite as often as he does. Blows your mind the speed of their learning though doesn’t it. I mean, what were we doing at that age??!!!! Times sure have changed! : ) Enjoy your time without the internet for a while, it’s nice to unplug every now and then : )

  7. Oh Finn!! That made me laugh. Sorry. I wouldn’t be too happy with limited internet access. Kids these days are so smart. I don’t understand how Melody operates my iPad, but she does.

  8. Too funny!

  9. Kids – you need to put a lock on it and can turn of functions so he can not add and buy apps. He is a talented little man:)

  10. I think my 10 yo son was born with a mouse in his hand. They outsmart their mummies with IT stuff very early on. Got to laugh…

  11. What a guy!
