chill your madeleines

OK, well when the recipe says you should chill your madeleine mixture for 3 hours, they mean it. They look and taste so much better. So do it. Chill your mixture. I left mine in a mixing bowl in the fridge overnight.

But don’t let bits of mixtures drop outside your moulds will you. I just did that to show you what not to do, of course! And I got to enjoy one of these before the twins finished the lot. It’s my weight loss secret – have lots of kids so you can bake and they will eat it all up before you get to have seconds. Genius.

  6. That’s a fab weight loss secret… and I must say that my twins are super fast bowl and spoon lickers. But they are now at preschool 3 days a week and go to school next year. Oh no! Waistline will expand again!!
