starting baby’s wardrobe

With just over 6 weeks to go, reality is hitting home, a baby is coming to this house! And we are not ready, people!!!! So I indulged in a bit of retail therapy this morning at DJ’s and Country Road for my little one on the way. But it’s very important to not consult your husband before you do this because he will tell you that surely with 2 girls already there are plenty of things upstairs to wear – um no retro daddy, wrong season! And it’s also a good idea to send him elsewhere otherwise he tries to rush you out of there and tell you that you are done now….

So, I think baby’s style this summer will be classic baby meets english rose as everything is very delicate and floral.  And what is that I see – some blue – a little departure from pink. Both Keira and Tillie were always head to toe in pink but I couldn’t resist this little floral number.

And then after all of that shopping it was time to go to Target for lots of baby singlets and plain onesies for a spot of applique……………………

  1. Oh it is all so very sweet and lovely. There is nothing like shopping for pretty little baby things.

  2. Wow those are all adorable!

  3. I’ll just step out from under the gigantic rock I have been living under and get myself to Country Road – who knew? I was unaware they had a baby section, I can hardly wait to check it out for my little cherub.

Your new little girl has a gorgeous wardrobe.

We bought the Dumbo DVD just this morning for my oler daughter so I was happy to see your excellent review about it.

  4. Too cute corrie, love the little blue floral one too…nothing nicer than appliqued onesies

  5. Just gorgeous. Enjoy your precious little bundle X

  6. Oh I think floral and english rose are perfect for your little summer girl! I used to dress Isabelle in blue flowers too once upon a time!

  7. Oh, baby clothes.. sigh. They all look so sweet. I hope the last few weeks treat you well Corrie

  8. So so pretty!

  9. I LOVE Country Road kidswear. It wears so well. And do I see a little Bebe all-in-one towards the back of the first photo? Oh I just LOVE that too.

  10. Cute :) I am so in love with the blue floral one, totally gorgeous.

  11. Oh, Corrie – I am getting really excited for you! They are just delightful and I love the little blue one. Well chosen, Mummy! J x

  12. Soooo cute. Time is close now.

  13. When my daughter was a baby there was no pink at all, that was a few years later, when I just got two boys ;-). Love the pink, but the blue (of lilac) is great as well. So much for some variation!

  14. So sweet! You are a lot more organized than me and I have less than 4 weeks to go. all I’ve got so far is 2 nighties and some nappies! crikeys

  15. OMG, a liberty style print on a baby body suit, brilliant!! Yes, i girls were in blue, but after 3 i went pink, of course to then have a boy. Super sweet wardrobe of dresses though, love that dresses (your favourites) can become super short with bloomers then tops!! Most fabulous piece of clothing ever. So excited, can’t wait to meet your next baby – coincides with my husband coming home, yippee, must visit. Let’s hope neither are late!! Posie

  16. Wow you only 6 weeks to go! Those tops are the sweetest little tops! I love them!

  17. So sweet! There is nothing quite like little baby clothes. They are so darn cute…lucky I can’t have any more kiddies or my hubby might get nervous with me looking at these. They make me so clucky.

  18. Only six weeks to go! 😮 Wow, how exciting! Everything looks so perfect, great choices! 😀

  19. So exciting! You look very organised to me. Lord only knows where we’re going to put this baby!! Have you got the room changes sorted out yet?

  20. So pretty… hope all is well with you x
