and more hexagons

Oh I think I have my sew-jo back! I finished these two hexagon flowers over the weekend and am feeling pretty proud of myself for getting back on the hexagon wagon. I used 2 inch hexagon papers from here and some bliss charm squares for these ones………

And here is a reminder of what I’m working towards from Rosalie Quinlan’s ‘A Stitch in Time’…….
all my hexagon flowers
Yep, I have a long way to go but am enjoying the ride…………….

  1. Craft is always about the process of doing it to enjoy it! Your quilt will be beautiful when it is finished Corrie! At least you get to relax whilst you stitch away!

  2. Corrie – thank you for the lovely comment over at my place. I am having the loveliest time browsing through your blog!

  3. Hexagons are my all time fave shape!!!!!!

My first quilt was a eye spy hexagon quilt, all hand piece and big stitch quilted. Every time I look at that quilt on Sophie’s bed i feel so proud of myself and am amazed at my own commitment to the hand piecing – you will too when you finish that quilt!!!

I have a bunch of left over hex’s i think i my have to get some body suits for Noah!

  4. So pretty …

  5. Very pretty hexagons! Love the colours. I’m just wondering why you stitch through the paper? There’s an easier way to do that. If you are interested to know how, you’ll find more info here: http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/2010/04/hexie-paper-piecing-tutorial.html
    Best wishes
