we love mathilda’s lane cove

oh my feet! they are puffy and sore but oh what a great day we had today, our best market so far and the stock was flying out the door! No time for toilet breaks but I did manage enough time to sneak a few cupcakes and muesli bars in my mouth behind the table.

long table

I was still cutting some last minute fabrics at 5.30am this morning but it was worth it…lots of fabric, dresses, hats, orders for hats, lots of chatting to customers and all in all a lovely day.

mathilda's set up

We had a nice big space which was great so we could spread out and I wish I’d taken some photos of when people were bustling around trying to get in to the front of the table to have a look! Next stop is Handmade Canberra on 5th June and Mathilda’s Canberra 26th June, so Canberra ladies I’ll see you there. In the meantime I’m off to the shops to invest in some very comfy shoes for my fat pregnant feet which seem to be expanding.

  1. It all looks stunningly beautiful!

  2. Your stall always looks so beautiful! Hope you got to rest your feet after all that hard work!

  3. What lovely stall – looks great. And you reference to no toilet breaks has me thinking all market stall holders must be wearing nanna nappies!!

  4. Corrie, on those little tshirts that are in plastic bags folded on your table- the babushka dolls that are appliqued on- do you sell that fabric in your shop? I love it. You are amazing what you achieve with those little kids and one more on the way! p.s. can you tell the notebook people that I would be particularly interested in classes in QLD, esp Sunshine Coast and the cake decorating! Thanks, hope your feet are ok.

  5. As always your display looks amazing! I really love that hat tree.

  6. So bummed to have missed it but we had a special family outing thanks to a charity! Lovely time had by all until I threw my back out and am now completely immobilised with a suspect bulging disc. Oi.

  7. Oh how cute is all of that!? I’m still repenting for my Gymboree spree 😛

I bet you are SO exhausted xxx

  8. I was there! I purchased some gorgeous fabric from you but I didn’t want to stay and chat as there was quite a crowd gathering and I didn’t want to stop you from getting any business! But it was a beautiful display and I’m very happy with my purchases! Thank you!

  9. I love your hat tree and the hat colors are so pretty …

  10. With a stall so delicious it would be so hard to choose what to choose! Congratulations on another successful market.

  11. Great set up, Corrie and Katja! I was disappointed to miss it. We’ve had things on every time there’s been a market so far this year which is a bummer but also probably good for the bank balance! Hopefully, I’ll be at the next one.
