unsweeping

After what seems like weeks of rain in Sydney, we ventured outside this morning to do some sweeping and tidy up before keira’s little party this weekend. Mummy managed to get the leaves into a nice pile and then my little helpers came in….Tillie don’t hit your brother with your broom

don't hit your brother

they had fun together

sweeping

until Tillie decided she’d leave it all to Finn (like mummy normally leaves it to daddy!)

finn and tillie sweeping

and Finn really got to work….and then there was no pile!

I’ll leave most of the house cleaning until everyone is in bed otherwise it is all in vain! This week I had just removed a nice crayon artwork from the wall only to find the next day Tillie had taken a big purple pencil to another wall!!!!!!!! Keira had no interest in drawing on walls but somehow the twins manage to get it done when I’m not looking! Thank goodness for gumtion!!!!

  1. we have the same problem with the raking of leaves (and the decorating of walls) here. my favourite saying at the moment is “you’ve got to laugh or you’ll cry”! all the best with the night time cleaning.

  2. We’re having Eloise’s party on the weekend too, I’ve just resigned myself to the fact it will need to be inside, this rain is ridiculous!

Hope Keira has a lovely party, and you survive it sanity intact xxr

  3. My twins also got up to much more mischief than my older girls, Corrie. They did things that Sarah and Alice would never have dreamed of doing!!!! There’s two to watch, plus they have an ever-present audience. Maybe they try to outdo one another! I’m sure your tidying and cleaning will get done :-)

  4. I clean at night too and pray people don’t come over during the day, lol. We buy washable crayons/paint/markers only which doesn’t solve the problem but it sure makes cleaning easier. Hope she has a great birthday.

  5. My kids like to un-sweep too. We have windows and walls decorated with crayon here as well. It’s virtually pointless trying to do anything whilst both of them are up and about. I spend all day putting out fires.

  6. Great little helpers! Enjoying your blog!

  7. Oh yes, crayon & pencil on walls, just makes you wonder “Why??” Twins just do so many more things in found my singles would even think to try. Peer pressure?? Have a gorgeous birthday party, love Posie
