the quilt top

Well here is the nicey jane quilt top, in need of a good trip to the iron but I needed to quickly grab retro daddy to hold it for me before he left for work!!!! Progress has been a little slow as the babies have decided they don’t like their 6pm bedtime……so I haven’t been able to get sewing till much later at night!

I love the colours (pink and green is one of my favourite combinations) and just love the pattern (from here). It took me a little while to cut and put the 20 blocks together as well as the white sashing but it’s such a fun project and will fit a single bed in little keira’s room perfectly. I think I love it so much I feel another one coming along in the sandi henderson ginger blossom! I also discovered I’ve been using a 1/2 inch seam….ahhhhhhh…..so my blocks turned out to be 10 1/2 inches instead of 11!!!!

And 6pm that is very early. Bet they are up early too. I love it my kids go to school at daytime, that gives me some sewing time as before 9 or 9.30 pm there won’t be quiet sewing hours in this house and usually that is too late for me! Just hang on, and make the best of every second 😉

  24. Very nice…I love that color combo too! You did a great job!

  25. Right! I am making this for one of the wedding quilts! Question, how many fat quarters did you use? 10? And did you use your quilters muslin for sashing?
    Love it Corrie! Beautiful! xox
