Keira’s cookies

We don’t buy biscuits in this house, it’s too much fun to make them and we know whats in them. Most of the time they’re pretty healthy too! Here is Keira’s batch from yesterday, a variation on my one cup cookies.

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup SR flour
1 cup coconut
1 cup muesli (or oats)
1 cup m&m’s
1 cup of margerine (equates to about 3-4 heaped Tbsp)

Combine dry ingredients, melt margerine for 30 seconds or so in the microwave then add to mixture. Roll into balls and flatten on lined baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes in 180 degree oven. Soooo good and easy for little people to make as the measurements are so easy! We actually used 1/2 cup m&m’s and 1/2 cup choc chips because a certain daddy found the m&m bag late the night before!

  1. oh what a great recipe – thanks for sharing! We love baking cookies here too, but I am trying to be more healthful (and lose a good portion of the belly and the rear!) but having cookies in the house is irresistible to me. These seem pretty decently healthy though. Well, maybe I should skip the m&ms now and again…

  2. Yum – these sound and look great. We might have a go at these today – thanks!

  6. Jemm, 1 cup of margerine is about 3-4 Tbsp’s! we’ve made these so many times we go by sight so I had to measure it all out with this batch!
