  1. oh, I love it!
I don’t like the fact that Christmas is creeping up so quickly however.

  2. I was eyeing that one off too! I think it is something I could actually achieve before December!!

  3. I have been wanting to make an advent calendar – and that one is particularly lovely. I might try to make it too.

Cant wait to see how yours turns out.

  4. Did you know that Garn studios do a knitting/crochet Advent calendar every year? It’s usually very pretty and starts on first day of Advent . That’s December 2nd to us down here who are ahead of Northern Hemisphere in time. Once the pattern is opened, it can be accessed later, but you can only open each day at a time. No peeking ahead. Usually little projects like scarves, slippers, mittens. It’s worth looking at as it’s both knit and crochet patterns and it’s free.

  5. Oh that is just gorgeous Corrie. Christmas is coming along too quickly again this year.

  6. Sweet. Imagine the gorgeous little handmade goodies you can pop in each day??!! Don’t feel you need to make one per child, make it a family activity to do or pop 3 tiny things in each one so each child gets something cute. I make my 4 alternate days (& find them making deals & swapping their daily finds afterwards, quite funny).
Ah, the quiche looked ace & that Julia Childs book, well 2 volumes of deliciousness is a gorgeous gift, well done Retro Daddy!!
    Love Posie

  7. Snap! I added this one to my to do list last week too.

  8. very cute and do-able even for a beginner… hmmm.

  9. Oooh, isn’t that pretty! I’ve been thinking about advent calendars — I’d love to do one — just can’t decide what style I like…Hmmmmmm.

  10. This is fantastic! Great colors and style.

Found you via Jemm in the Flint Hills

  11. Very sweet, is the pattern is in the magazine?? I can’t get it overseas.
