ready for the library

Its been a while since I’ve stocked cute canvases but they are just made for little library bags. No lining required, sturdy but easy to sew and best of all…..

done in no time and ready for Keira to take down to the library for story time! But that will just have to be next week as we’re housebound with chicken pox (Finn this time). So there’s nothing else to do but bring the cubby into the loungeroom……

and play house! Hours of fun!

  1. Lots of fun in cubby houses. Particularly with a couple of small teapots and cups too. Pretend is as good as the real thing. We used to make cubbies with blankets over the table. We also used to put on old band music (78s) passed down from grandparents, turn up the volume and march through the lounge, into dining room, then kitchen, hall and back to lounge. Must have driven my mother crazy but she never said anything. Nostalgia! Now I have grandchildren. Where did the years go?

I love your Parisian fabrics and can’t have been reading properly as I didn’t realise was one linen.

They are all lovely, as are the little inclusions inside the packet. Thank you. Might have to get some more another time. Delivery was very prompt too. I’m not that far from you as the crow flies, but have no car so transport makes it a long trip over that way.

  2. awwww so cute!the bag and the cubby house.
I hope the C-monster leaves your house soon.

  3. You have been on sewing fire lately! Lovely tote!

  4. Love that canvas bag! Too sweet. I hope the spots leave your house soon!

  5. That fabric on the tote bag is adorable! I hope your chicken pox will soon be all gone!!!

  6. I remember having the cubby house when my kids were little. Never had a pink one though. Love the little bag you made Kiera – what a great idea using those prints.

  7. I’m looking at that cubby and feeling a bit jealous. AT least it’s not the kind that involves every chair and blanket and doona cover in the house! (that’s usually when a spontaneous childless visitor comes a knocking and is forced to drink tea on the floor or in the cubby)…
