the week that was

I’ve been caring for 2 sick babies this week who are being kept away from the world for a couple of days…. but thankfully are on the mend! If I’m not washing or cuddling them I’m running around cleaning up after them or breaking up a fight over the remote.

and here are their little mug shots taken the other day for their passports……

I’ve also been using up the mountain of apples and pears that have been accumulating from my weekly fruit and veg delivery. I use about 8 apples or pears (or a combo of the two) with a couple of handfuls of raisins, couple of Tablespoons of raw caster sugar and a bit of water. I cook for over 30 minutes till the fruit is nice and soft. I like mine with yoghurt while keira and her daddy prefer ice-cream. Either way its perfect for a winter dessert and I love it cold the next day too!

And if you’re keen to see my fabrics in person its an open day this sunday between 12 and 1. Just ask me for address details, all fabrics will be $10 per half metre and there will be books and patterns too!! And since I’m rambling on about nothing in particular who else is loving willie wonky’s chocolate factory on the lifestyle channel…gosh I am loving this show! A reality show that I’m actually enjoying and itching to try the product….

  1. Oh I do love Willie, isn’t he great (hang on now I have typed it, that looks a little wrong). A man who takes choc that seriously has got it going on I think.
I would love to check out the fabrics, but still working on teleportation – darn it

  2. Oh – how cute are ther mug shots – they dont look anything like mugs LOL! Hope that all are on the mend and stay that way. Being locked away from the world is not nice!

  3. Hope your sick babies are well soon.

  4. Hope the little ones are well soon. xox

  5. They look so angelic in those passport photos!

  6. Hope the littlies are on the mend. Wish I was back in Sydney for your open day :(

  7. Aw, hope the wee ones are well soon! They look gorgeous in their pictures, they just seem to be growing like weeds!

  8. I too am having to break up “disagreements” with my twins on a more regular basis. Obviously with the remote you can’t have more than one but I’ve now figured out to buy two of the same toy for some things as it’s just not worth the grief that comes with the fighting. There is always something more desirable in life than another it would seem. (even if it is just a remote)

  9. I have watched a couple of episodes of Willy’s not convinced just yet. I am still abit lost on what they are trying to do. He does make some lovely chocolately stuff though.

  10. Tristan loves the remote too – fortunately he only has to fight me for it!

Do you have a slow cooker? Stewing fruit is super easy if you do! I love it too.

  11. Hi There, So sorry to hear that the twins were sick. Mine had PINK EYE in June. Yuck. They didn’t seem to mind though and thankfully we didn’t get it. Life is so busy I barely have time to comb my hair!!!! I do love to keep up with your family though!

  12. Hope the little ones are better.
Where are you off to with the new passports?
