the mother of all….

stash clearouts! When you can no longer close the double wardrobe where you hide…oops I mean keep….your ever growing fabric stash then its time for a clearout. So my fabric stash is now neatly organised here in the spare room (piled 2 deep)…neat to me means not falling on your head when you open the cupboard by the way!

and here in the back room next to my sewing table

store fabrics are here in another room out back and I also filled 2 big plastic tubs full of fabric as well! And I haven’t even started on the yarn and patterns!

I managed to fill 4 bags with fabric and notions which are now too heavy to lift but need a new home……………..and totally unrelated to stash clearouts are my little miss keira’s new shoes…picked up at magnolia square which was a crowded and busy affair when we got there. I must admit the $8 entry is a bit steep for such a small event but we got 2 passes for french movies which will come in handy and were welcomed by retro daddy. We went to see this lovely lady who maximised every millimetre of her little allocated space!

Your stash is so enviable! So many lovely Japanese and American fabrics!

  2. The shoes are gorgeous!
I couldn’t believe that they are now charging entry to Magnolia Square. Doesn’t seem right to me.

  3. $8!! Why? I’m with Stacey. Does not seem right.
Stash is huge Corrie! Next time we need a before picture too 😉 xox

  4. Oh hooray, now I don’t feel like I’m the only one who takes over all available cupboard space throughout the house for fabric! And oooh, I spied some pretties in there!
And cute cute shoes…my miss Imogen would love some…off to check them out!

  5. I agree Corrie the $8 was definitely not worth it. Love your stash

  6. Doesnt it bring on the guilts when you realise how much your stash takes over. I think my wool stash is in half of the house and yes there are containers full of it. I love the little shoes, just precious but fancy paying $8 for entry when you could have bought something beautiful instead.

  7. Wow it looks like a fabric bomb exploded. Hmm so does my desk though. I am loving your store fabrics especially the “hello friends” one but I mustn’t spend anymore money until I sell some more softies. I love those slippers for Kiera- so cute, and agree $8 seems like alot.

  8. Wow $8 is rich! They haven’t started charging in Melbourne yet – hopefully they won’t.
    Very sweet shoes though!

  9. I recently cleaned out my stash as well, and I ended up with a giant bag for the thrift store. Needed to make room for new stuff! :)
