keira plays the classics

for Christmas my parents bought Keira and the twins an old piano…..the thought of one of their flashy pianos (which includes an ivory baby grand) being lent to us for Keira to bang around on was too frightening for them. It turned out to be a wise move as there has been a lot of banging, singing and even colouring on the keys (thankfully removed)

here she is with her little friends Henry and Freya doing some nursery rhymes….

and today while the babies napped I tried my hand at ripples…..I’m going to do a manageable playmat which means the hexagons will continue to hibernate a little longer.

I searched my ever expanding home library for crochet books to help me and found the best instructions were in a small book called Beginners Guide to Crochet ‘ Ripples for Baby’ by Leisure Arts. I got my copy on the Ravelry Australian Knitters destash page for about $3. If you think ripples might be your thing check out this blog
