61, 62, 63……………..

63 little white boxes filled with chocolates ready for the wedding on Friday. This is my present to the bride and groom…I had great intentions to make the chocolates but the warm weather was making my test batch all soft once they were out of the fridge. I know that once they are out of my hands I have no control over the elements and I don’t want happy guests opening boxes of chocolate mush. So each box has 2 roses chocolates inside as they are fully wrapped and a little more hardy! I know this was supposed to be my present to them but I can’t help myself and am going to pop down to DJ’s tomorrow to get my favourite Georg Jensen photo frame too…I’m such a wedding tragic and the bride knows it! She dubbed me her wedding planner!

and I’ve been slowly knitting…at a pace of 2 rows a night. I’m making this little cardy in Patons serenity, a gorgeous blend of cotton and bamboo. I know the pattern is a little nana-esque but I’m doing a size smaller and combined with the bright colour should make this cardy just my style.

  1. The cardy looks great, very you in the pink and not Nannery at all.

    You ARE a wedding tragic!!

We missed you on Sunday. xx

  2. Love all those packages lined up. I must say, I am a bit of a wedding tragic too!!!

Your cardy looks lovely – I tried one on like that at DJ’s the other day (my thoughts were that it was a bit nanish) but the very young assistant told me it was just the ‘in’ thing! I liked it but didn’t buy it! Can’t wait to see what yours looks like.

  3. Wow you will have to be called Superwoman soon with all that wedding planning and your family to take care of. The chocolate boxes look lovely. I really like the color of the yarn you are using too, it should turn out great.

  4. What lovely wedding favours! Your latest cardi looks pretty in pink.

I love your blog – such an inspiration! And thanks also for the robot pattern received in the mail last week. Felix is in love with it already, and I haven’t even made one yet!
