boxes for bushfire victims

this afternoon I dropped off our donations for the bushfire victims…..thank you to Anita, Claudine and Cass for your donations…I added some more items (especially as I am the queen of stockpiling nappies) and boxed them up complete with tatty sticky tape on the side of a box (ok well I took that off once I realised it was there!)

I added this blankie made by mum and we dropped them off to Sara….and how cool that donations were so generous that Sara was lent a warehouse until delivery to whittlesea this Tuesday!

oh and we also did a mini portrait this afternoon as I needed to submit a photo of the family for a newsletter…..well this is the best I could manage of all 3 keeping still and looking at the camera…

the day was completed with a quick call to emergency about an hour ago to check we didn’t need to bring Keira in…..she fell off the couch onto the hardwood floors resulting in the biggest blue bump you’ve ever seen on her head. I am now monitoring her every movement to check she is ok! phew, now where is that big block of chocolate I need….I think I may have a box of roses somewhere that need opening…..

  1. Ohmygosh! The babies are getting so BIG! They’re all adorable!!!

  2. Just look at how big your babies are! Lovely photo of the three of them – don’t they all look alike?

  3. More great donations, great to see.

Wow time flies, it seems like only yesterday that Finn and Tillie were born and look at them now! Enjoy them while their little, my two are soon to be two. I miss my ‘little ones’ hehehehe

    I hope Keira is ok….

  4. Poor Keira hurting herself like that. We always keep a bag of frozen peas in the freezer for those sorts of bumps which helps with the swelling. Lachlan fell on the coffee table once after bouncing on the couch and loosened his front teeth and there was blood everywhere. Thankfully those 2 teeth stayed in for about 5 more years but it was very nervewracking. Your mum’s blanket looks beautiful and I am sure they will all be very happy to receive those nappies and blankets too.

  5. Hi Corrie, the kids look great. Your black dress is gorgeous – but guess what – I have the same one!!! This thing about us having the same items of clothing is getting spooky. Anyway, the dress feels great on – so comfy and cute!!! Rebecca.

  6. Growing up so fast! Big blue bumps are so awful, especially for mummies. Martha once hit her head when jumping into the pool. Before my eyes a gold ball rose up! *shudder* Hours at emergency, she was fine but for weeks she looked like she had gone three rounds in the boxing ring. Little Aussie Joe Bugner is what her Dad called her! Poor little eye disappeared
    ….I hope Keira is ok.
I am crocheting like mad, getting granny square rugs going too thanks to your idea! Your donations are fantastic, Whittlesea / Kinglake etc is VERY close to us, we have seen friends lose everything, lucky to get with their lives, some not so lucky. Thank you for sharing your care this way. xxxx

  7. Corrie what a beautiful snap shot of your lovely three! Is’t it so hard to get them all to look let alone smile at once! I have a problem with Joshua at the moment he insists on making funny faces (Arrrrrh!). Hope you are well!

  8. Lookat your beautiful babies. All three are just gorgeous.
