Dolls quilt in a day

My little miss loves nothing more than cuddling up on the couch with her pink pillow and her blankie, but lately all her blankies have been used for the babies to play on so I took a packet of charm squares, some $2 homespun from spotlight (I bought 5m at that price) and whipped this up…..

the best thing about making a quilt for a 2 year old is that they don’t care if mummy’s lines aren’t straight….there was lots of oh its so pretty and thank you mummy so I think a few more might be on the cards for her dolls and the twins!

Hope you had a good new years eve….we had a glass of veuve clicquot and some berry tiramisu I’d made (since all the best diets start tomorrow) and were asleep before midnight….uh oh

  1. So sweet! And how nice to have a greatful recipient.

It is still New Year’s Eve for us in NYC. I have nothing planned and I love it! Just staying at home and relaxing. Hubby is still at work.

  2. Happy New Year Corrie! I have fabric set aside to make a pretty quilt just like that – in fact I think I have some of the same fabrics. I think I’ll machine it like you have – super quick and super cute. I’m sure it will get much use.

  3. very pretty, i’ll have to buy a charm pack and give this a go. Happy new year!

  4. How lovely Corrie. What little (or big) girl wouldn’t love a quilt like that.

  5. What a beautiful little quilt. perfect for a blankie.

  6. Oooh this is beautiful. No wonder she loves it! You’ve inspired me to have a go at a little doll’s quilt when I get home. They seem so much more manageable than an adult-sized one :)

  7. beautiful!!

  8. Look great Corrie, I am sure Keira will just love snuggling with it.
