phew its over

oh its nice to be home, we came home to a nice clean house (until I made the mistake of walking into my sewing room and remembered my cleaning didn’t extend that far in the house)….and we got some nice mail too including this super cute softie made for keira in the EB softies swap..thank you to the blogless but super talented kat for this lovely…Keira kept saying my mail my mail as she hugged her

I’ve almost finished the mountains of laundry and hope to get time to read through the mountains of books and magazines I came home with…including this find in a $1 craft book from my favourite op shop in Sydney.

and the new lotta prints book which is just lovely and includes stencils to make your own prints…..this is a fabulous book and has projects on fabric, clothing, walls, paper and more….

the granny squares are coming along nicely but I do have a small issue with tension but for my first project I’ve decided to make a dolls blanket for miss keira rather than be ambitious and tackle a baby blanket……

a few more hours of washing and cleaning and I can get cracking on some crafty projects…24 week belly shot coming on wednesday and its growing since the scales tell me I’ve gained 11 kilos…and when I first heard my targeted weight gain was 18 kilos I thought it was impossible but looks like I’m heading that way!!!!!!!!!

  1. Welcome home Corrie. That softie is very cute. What a nice gift to come home too… I generally come home to the bills!

  2. Oh Keira’s present is so cute. I really love the little doll pattern too, what a great find. The granny squares are looking good too and I am sure in time your tension will even out. Good on you for starting your crochet projects, I havent even looked at any yet.

  3. i hear ya on the scary weight gain! i think i was at about 10-11kgs at 24 weeks too and was mildly freaking out (first pregnancy and all) but i’ve decided to just chill and accept what comes…. and pray that breastfeeding works miracles : )

  4. What a lovely softie – I can see why Kiera loves her so! Your crochet blanket is coming along great too. Love the pattern and the colours!

  5. Loving your site. I have still not managed granny squares. They look like that one of yours below this post.
I’ve added you to my favorites and will stop in often! Thanks for sharing!

  6. The colors for the granny square blanket are sweet.

  7. Hi , I just happened upon your blog accidentally, its very lovely. I also have twins, a boy and a girl turning one this month. You will love it, it is so much fun, especially with an older siblings help. The way they care for one another is wild, even as toddlers they talk to one another in a secret language.
