Sunday one day crafts

Well I managed to start and finish a few little things this Sunday…first up are some cute wall hangings for keira’s room/the nursery which are so quick and easy and brighten up the wall

and then I decided it was time we upgraded our tv quilt…you know the one that hangs over the lounge and keeps you warm while you’re watching tv (or knitting or stitching)…our current lap quilt just isn’t making the cut down here in chilly melbourne as its just too small.

So I decided the quilt was for keira so we got out all the pink fabrics and made long strips, joined them, backed with some pink homespun, quilted by an improving stitcher in the ditcher, added some binding after dinner and voila…..a quilt started and finished in a day….

now I need to go and clean up the aftermath in my sewing room.

and here’s my 6th shot for yesterday for the macro challenge…one of those super cute $1 cups.

and I don’t need to worry about my bad machine quilting for much longer because my dear sister in law Julie is setting up her own busines here….yipee I can pay someone I know to do my quilts for me….don’t forget Project Runway starts tonight…woohooo
