great mail day

its been a great week and this morning the sun was out letting me get a bright and cheery shot of the lovely camelia growing outside our kitchen window…

but the highlight of the week has been receiving parcels each morning..things are a little upmarket where we live now and instead of parcels being hurled across the doorstep our postman now knocks and hands all parcels over to me…that is nice but its also embarrassing when he comes 3 or 4 days in a row as he has done this week. Here is Keira picking the next project from the great sock and glove book…this is such a great book and the patterns are so much cuter than the ones I made..just ignore the afternoon mess in the background…we’ve been having fun with buttons today.

and here is a cute vintage pic for the nursery….its made in Italy and the dear little boy and girl twins have an angel watching over each of them…its in immaculate condition and was worth the crazy price I paid for it on ebay but I just had to have it and especially since they looked like little keira’s with their curls and chubby faces.

  1. I am usually too excited to receive parcels to feel embarassed. My postie also knocks when there are parcels for me, and when we see each other around the neighbourhood, we wave too.

  2. Gorgeous pic of the Camelia. Getting parcels in the mail is always a wonderful thing. 4 days in a row must be heaven. I love the vintage picture, its so cute!

  3. Ah yes, our parcel delivery bloke’s name is Brian. He’s very used to me and HP and all our crazy parcels by now. He’s also now buddies with my dogs.

ooh, i was going to buy that sock toy book on Tuesday, I wish I had!
