finishing off friday

Well today I put the finishing touches on this little number, the raglan sleeved cardigan from Baby Knits for Beginners by Debbie Bliss…I want to keep this little one so much but its heading off to my little sister Phoebe and her baby to be.

This is Keira pointing out the buttons to you all…

and telling me its bewdiful…

and last night I started this little umbilical cord hat which is from the Stitch n Bitch handbook…..its made in Malabrigo in shocking pink and its so beautiful and soft to knit with that I’ve started another hat today. I can see I’m going to have to get my hands on more of this yarn as it really is the best I’ve knit with….ever!!!

and speaking of yarn we’re off to Bendigo tomorrow for the day and I’m looking forward to raiding the bargain room at Bendigo Woollen Mills

Comments

  1. Lovely hat – I’ve got some Malabrigo to do the same thing. Have fun at Bendigo!

  2. Hey aren’t you a finisher this week! Very impressive knitting and the oven buns are looking good in your last post too!!

  3. Oh my! That little cardigan is adorable!

  4. Very cute hat and cardigan, Corrie! And have a great time at Bendigo!

  5. Love the little hat, and the cardi is beautiful…I see why you would want to keep it and make an adult size one!

  6. Lovely cardigan – your sister is very lucky to have someone knitting such sweet things for her.
I’d love to go to the Bendigo bargain room – but I’m a bit scared to. My yarn stash has a room all of its own and doesn’t need any expanding.

  7. Very lovely! I got that book on the day that I found out I was having a girl, though that book is gender neutral. I have yet to make anything out of it since there seems to be a lot seaming involved. I do use the book a lot for the matress stitch tutorials.

  8. Oh I was in Bendigo last wednesday and raided the bins. I came home with some wool for the two kids and some cotton for me.

Love all the knitting that you have been doing!
