totally spoilt and totally obsessed with quilting

Well when I posted off my scrap swap I knew I’d gone overboard when it weighed 900g….but I didn’t expect my partner Nancy to go as crazy as I did…..but she did……..and T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U Nancy I love it all..and go and check out her blog for lots of lovely inspiration

so I wasted no time in picking a project

and putting your scraps to good use…..a few of my scraps are in this crazy quilt that I’m now hand stitching circles all over and getting sore fingers…more photos to come when I’m finished stitching…so yes I’m totally obsessed with quilting….I borrowed 9 books and magazines from the library mostly Kaffe Fassett as I’ve been eyeing his fabrics for a long time and finally succumbed to buying some….

and I’m loving watching keira wearing clothes I’ve made now its warm….she just looks so adorable and I’ve been geting some lovely comments with this little swing top and bloomers

now don’t forget to visit retro mummy as I want most of the store sold up before the move so I can start afresh down there with lots of new goodies…FQ start at $3 and everything has been reduced!!!!

  1. Your quilt top is lovely. You got a lot of great fabrics in your swap.

  2. What a great looking quilt. Love the colours and simple design. Quilts are always so daunting to me then I see think quick and simple design and start thinking again.
Thanks for the tip, I’m popping over to your store now. xx

  3. I’m so glad you like the scraps! I love the way you put them to use – and so fast. That quilt looks adorable and bright – very Kaffish!Maybe you should get a thimble for your poor fingers – me, I’ll stick with the machine 😉 All joking aside, it make me very happy that our little swap was worthwhile for both of us.

LOVE the strawberry dress. You sent me a scrap of that and it’s just perfect for a little girl’s dress. Well done.

  7. The quilt top looks really nice, Corrie! Beware, once you start quilting, you’ll get quite hooked on it. And little miss’s dress is gorgeous, too.

  8. You are very lucky to receive such a lovely bundle of fabrics in the post. All I ever get are catalogues from dodgy furniture places….
Cute swing top you made for your daughter. I bet you have the best dressed girl in town!

  9. The quilt looks beautiful. Love all the scraps you received too. Keira does look quite cute in all the clothes that you make for her.

  10. Love the little swing top on Keira. The matching bloomers would look so cute. I’m definately going to make my little princess some of these outfits for summer this year. She 1yr old now which is great, I can start making her clothes like that.

  14. Hi Corrie,
I got my pattern and THANKYOU for the lovely fabric too! Pretty pretty.

I’m a bit sad you’re moving to Melbourne, it’s our loss but VIC’s gain. And, it’s better than Dubai.

You’ll love it there I think.
