tagged…and being naughty

I’ve been tagged a lot this year (oh yes because I’m soooooooo popular) no there have been a lot of meme’s going around but I like this one so thanks Jade

the rules are here ….ok so here we go
Craft……because I love it, think about it, talk about it,spend money on it all day long…just read my blog for evidence!
Fremont Casin p shops…love ’em but have been doing more dropping off than buying lately
Reading…I read craft magazines and books, childrens books, blogs, the paper and patterns everyday but should read more novels….I still have a few on my bedside table from when I was pregnant (how embarrassing)
r est…put my feet up, have a tea and knit, sew, blog …..something I do every night when miss keira chooses to go to sleep
Infertility… I didn’t choose it ..it chose me and its all consuming and I could do without it thank you very much
Ectopic pregnancy…ditto…not a day goes by when I don’t think about what could have been

so now I tag all my EB sewing and quilting girls…………….

and I’ve been a little naughty this morning…when all the house was nice and quiet I went shopping(edited to add the house is not so quiet because my beautiful baby just fell out of bed….mummy has stopped crying now its ok)……….now I need the patience to wait for them to arrive….I’m loving this site ..ok first up is the new softies book which is so cute

next up is last minute patchwork gifts…there are some beautiful small projects and a baby’s quilt that I’m dying to make

and lastly a cute knitting book just released called minnies…and has patterns up to 3 years old which is good because a lot of my debbie bliss books stop at 2years and keira is a big girl

and here is my latest knitting project coming along nicely…its the shrug from debbie bliss simply baby which was released this year…so cute…I have a lot of cashmerino aran but am making this in dashing (from SL) because some of my mummy friends put the jumpers straight in the washing machine and I won’t feel so bad if I used this wool

  1. Oh Corrie, I cannot believe it but when I saw the books you had ordered I had to have a laugh to myself. I had ordered the same 2 books yesterday, and the Minnies one I received a few weeks back now. Naughty me has not been showing all the books I have been buying nor all the beautiful fabric from your shop. I must rectify it I think. I love the cardigan you are knitting too. Yours looks lovely in pink. The Dashing wool is on sale at Spotlight for $2.00 a ball at the moment I think.

  2. Oh yes that shrug looks lovely, Corrie! That Dashing yarn is beautiful isn’t it, so nice to work with!

  3. Lots of tagging hey, i just did a triple post to all the tags, it was really fun actually. Now i read a comment you left at Mike’s saying when you move to Melbourne?? Is this sooner or later?? I’m confused. Could be the blur of chicken pox & shingles we’re in, yes, 3 more vaccinated children have come down with chicke pox this week, great!! Love Posie

  4. Love your tagged letters Corrie.
And I too love the new Last Minute Book. I’m going to try and make something tomorrow

  5. I love that shrug pattern – I have wanted to make one for ages, but without a baby girl in sight (and the nice is nearly 2!) I haven’t had that last bit of motivation I need, and instead doing stuff for Austy. Where did you buy your books!? They are all fantastic and I know it will be dangerous giving me the link, but I’d love to find so many beatiful crafty books in the one place. I’ve had my eye on the patchwork gifts one for a while…

  6. What a lovely post Corrie!! So many things that I didn’t know about you… I’m unsure as to what an eptopic pregnancy is, please do enlighten me?? Only if you feel comfortable…
I too just received the first 2 books that you mentioned as a b’day gift and just love them!!
That shawl is GORGEOUS I might have to buy myself a copy of that pattern for my little 12mth old princess.

  7. Those book slook fantastic Corrie, I especially like the look of the last minute quilting book, will keep my eye out for it.

  8. argh, infertility sure does suck. There’s not much upside at all, is there? Got a package from you today after my first retro mummy purchase and then I ran across your blog tonight while surfing the EB webring I found on Lily’s blog. Such a strange coincidence because I think I found retro mummy through a priest’s blog! Turns out blogland’s a small world!
