what a day!

Well we’ve had a wonderful day! first up it was down to wollongong to see the girls down there and their simply gorgeous exhibition….it was the best bit of knitting I’ve seen ….ever! I wanted to take everything home and I can’t pick a favourite!

I met the lovely and very funny duo of Donni and Ailsa who made me feel so welcome and I’ve told hubby I will be definitely going down for the occassional SnB down there! its only 1 1/2 hour drive away but it was great….can’t wait to see you girls in sydney some time…and hi to Donna and stripey tiger….wonderful work to everyone who contributed…. here are the photos I took (hope you don’t mind girls…)

on the way home in between entertaining keira I managed to finish this…..

and keira loved modelling it …but its not for her…its for her little friend henry’s 1st birthday….we have a lot of first birthday parties coming up so I’ve decided to make winter beanies for each…this was so cute and easy…and with the yarn costing all of $5….perfect…..

tonight I’m off to sort ma yarn (its now in 3 different large containers and i’d like it organised…..then I’m starting a scarf for our lovely little exchange student Fumiko who has arrived to our colder weather with no winter woollies……any excuse for a new project really…..

  2. Sounds like a wonderful day. Sadly I was working, maybe next year!

  3. The hat is so cute! I’m jealous that you got to meet Donni, Ailsa, and the rest. If only I lived closer. 😉

  4. Sounds like great day – and I love the beanie!

  5. Heh – I am the “lovely” and Ailsa is the “funny” or the other way around or a mix of the two….har har.

Was great to meet you too….and your wool widowed husband and blue eyed beauty too…

  6. Corrie, I’m so sorry I missed you! I’d love to see you at SnB one time. There’s a beach across the road for hubby and Keira while you knit and drink cocktails! lol! :-) Sharon

  7. What wonderful photos of the exhibition. I wish I lived closer so I could have taken a look too. Keira looks so cute in her friend’s little hat too. Happy yarn sorting too!

  8. Sounds like a great day!! I’m so bummed I couldn’t go, hopefully next year.

  9. I am definitely the lovely and Donni is the funny. End of story.

  10. Well, not completely end of story. It was lovely to meet you and gorgeous Keira and hub too. You’ll have to come down to snb with us, there’s plenty of willing baby holders so you can put your feet up and have a knit. And hubby can go for a surf across the road.

I’m just sorry I was so busy, otherwise I would have chatted more. I can talk the leg off a chair you know!

  11. After looking at the photo’s on Donna’s blog, I would have loved to get to Wollongong for the exhibition. I’m glad you were able to make it.
